 The first of all, I would like to express my sincere appreciation and gratitude toward your continuous support for the activities of Specialty Coffee Association of Japan.
Since 2005, SCAJ has been holding annual assembly on Specialty Coffee for the dissemination, exploitation, and development of coffee industry, and to offer the opportunities to exchange valuable informations to promote business performance of each participating members.

  This year, because of the disastrous earthquakes and Tsunami on March 11, and serious radiations from Fukushima Nuclear Power Plant, we have been considering whether we have to restrain ourselves from holding our annual event.
Our conclusion is : First of all, we have to express our deepest condolence on a great numbers of the deceased and victims but we would like to take our vigorous actions for surviving of the Specialty Coffee Industries in Japan, and would hold our annual event of SCAJ 2011 as scheduled. We would like to request you your best support for our decision.

  In spite of unfavorable impacts caused from the earthquake and the radiation, we would expect to receive participating in holding around 150 booths in Exhibition Hall from business entities and organizations from Specialty Coffee industries. SCAJ 2011 is a spectacular event  for observing the latest informations about Specialty Coffee, such as, Green Coffee Beans, relative various merchandises. We believe this exhibition should offer great opportunities to exchange necessary informations among overseas and domestic exhibitors.
We are confident that the experience to be able to talk with the persons concerned on top of the line would be the great appeal to participating members, in the Exhibition Hall, Seminars and Workshops.

  Through consistency supply of Specialty Coffee to consumers, meet  with consumers satisfactions, together with their amazement, enthusiasm and attractive impression, we would trust Specialty Coffee Industry in Japan should be prosperous and successful in near future.
As our target is much higher Cup-Quality, The Theme of our SCAJ Annual Event is changed to “Quality, Quality-er, Quality-est “ from this year.
We would stress Stringent Transparent Informations through entire supply-chain should be necessary to be gathered and transmitted among our coffee industries.

  As far as SCAJ 2011 concerned, around 150 booths would be exhibited by Japanese and overseas entities, from Governmental Organizations , Associations and private sectors, also Seminar, Workshops and Cupping Sessions would be held by relative official entities in Producing countries.  On Two Event Stages, JBC-Japan Barista Championship 2011, JSC-Japan Syphonist Championship 2011, and JCTC- Japan Cup Tasters Championship 2011 would be held. Furthermore, The Third WSC – The Third World Syphonist Championship 2011 will be held for awarding World Champion in 2011. These competitions on Two stages would bring a lot of excitement to our Annual Event in this year, as well.

  We will be ready to offer new business opportunities for every one of our members.

  We would be looking forward to welcoming you at SCAJ 2011.
